Paint the Town Tourist?

Honestly, this Navajo floor-length “traveler” coat is so heinous, so despicable, that I question whether this is truly a tourist and not just some whimsical and “out there” local poetess who spends every summer on a reservation in New Mexico.

Whatever the case, I found a website that sells them if you’d like to paint the town tourist yourself.

  1. Mr. Trend Says:

As someone who lived in New Mexico for awhile and saw more than enough tourists there, I actually wouldn’t be surprised if it was some East Coast (maybe even NYC?) tourist who thought it looked so “authentic” and “real,” and opted to buy it to show how much they care about Indians back home.

Tourists are despicable, no matter where you are.

Totally agree with you, Mr. Trend. I’ve been criticized for mocking NYC tourists but I’m mocking them because I live here. My friend lives in DC and mocks DC tourists ( You could probably set a blog up mocking New Mexico tourists. Most human beings just don’t know how to act when they are in a foreign environment.
